One to watch, Emmanuel Mudiay, has just signed on with global talent management agency, Celebrity Services Africa (C.S.A). The signing comes at a time when Mudiay’s career is taking a well-deserved upward projector and the young athletic star boasting a healthy sports’ and fashion track-record.
Mudiay, Congolese by birth, sought asylum in the United States when he was just 5 years old. His career dates back to high school and his bold decision to forgo college and join the Guangdong Southern Tigers club in China. His drafted into the NBA in 2015 has seen him play three seasons with the Nuggets and two with the Knicks. Averaging a career-best of 14.8 points on 44.6 percent shooting over 59 games in his last season, Emmanuel now currently plays for the Utah Jazz club as the #8 point guard.
“I am very excited to be working with CSA Global. At this very important stage of my career as a professional athlete it is important for me to leverage the opportunities I have, to be able to change people’s lives for the better and bring attention to issues that need support”, said Emmanuel.
Mudiay is no stranger to fashion, which probably partially explains his style, as he has his own pair of limited edition shoes out in the market – the ClutchFit Drive Low Emmanuel Mudiiay PE – thanks to his multi-year endorsement deal with Under Armour. He has also been featured in the Fall 2019 Techni-Cole campaign by Kenneth Cole, a fashion range consisting of footwear, apparel and accessories.
On the philanthropic side of things, Emmanuel has his sights set on an African Renaissance, inspiring a vision of continental-wide renewal. Mudiay is also excited to align with GLOBAL CITIZEN this year with a series of projects, some of which involve Environmental and Climate Change & Health and Nutrition with an emphasis on stunted children’s growth due to inadequate food security.
