The esteemed Stellenbosch estate invites couples to meander in love underneath the ancient oaks of the Spier Werf with a bottles of crisp Spier Methode Cap Classique Brut and a deliciously quaint picnic basket filled with locally sourced delicacies, including gourmet salads, fresh baguette and cheese, pastured-reared charcuterie, roast beef and chicken from Spier’s very own Farmer Angus. All this to the soundtrack of smokey-voiced guitarist, Matt Carstens.

Other special ways of enjoying the day into evening include the Spier Farm Cafe, which will open until 20:00, getting visitors into the mood with two glasses of bubbly and six oysters for only R150. Delicious mains from its regular menu such as the beef burger with pork fat fried potato roasties or the colourful vegetable tartan will also be available.
